A Performance Art Piece happening in the NYC Fashion District. 266 West 37th Street between 7th and 8th Avenue. June 8 - 27th 2010. In this piece IQTEST Designer Melissa Lockwood creates in a boutique/design shop pieces of wearable art from cutting factory waste. She uses what is outside of the mass producing designers patterns. She uses what they throw away. This is a conceptual art piece manifest in real time in real life. It sends out vibes, images and live action to the sensitive fashion district. IQTEST send out the message dont put the fabric into the landfills. Create patterns that don't create so much scrap materials. Use the excess a lot can be made with the fabrics. IQTEST is sharing she is designing in the open, you can watch threw the window or come inside and look at the garments she has made with fabrics she kept from the landfills.
