With these pieces, I display the the fabrics that are thrown away during production.  

When mass producing designers have the garments cut out, all the odd shaped pieces between the regular pattern pieces are thrown away in stacks of same shape pieces.  

This is a massive quantitie of fabric world wide.  The deposites of landfill waste are massive toxic and dangerous.

Many of the worlds landfills are at capacity and they are a fire hazard.  The landfills often catch on fife from the inde out, making it hard to extenguish them.
